Ancient Rome

I wrote this song in a moment of loneliness. I needed to feel love and I found it in the memory of my past. A past that I have long outgrown, yet which still clings to me, no matter where I go or who I become.
Lyrics:

Dying
Alone in
A hole in
Ancient Rome

Crying
Alone with
The secrets
Of Ancient Rome

‘Cause when we die it’s just another fading, fading, fading fire
And when we call it’s just a song and a sin and a fall and the latent desire

And you know
Searching for the lover at my side
Ooh I’ll know

And when the sun is right and the Sodom, the fading, the latent desire
And I’m falling down beside

All the love you know is buried in Ancient Rome

Dying
Alone in
A hole in
Ancient Rome
